The Graduate Advisors work with current degree-seeking students to assist with course selection and registration, degree progress tracking, curriculum information, and a variety of other academic affairs-related matters.
If you are a current student and would like to schedule an appointment to meet with your advisor please call 202-885-1690 (x1690 if you are on campus) or e-mail sisgradadvising@american.edu (if you e-mail, please include a daytime phone number so that someone from our office can call you to schedule your appointment). News and Notes from Graduate Advising
BEST WISHES AND CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SPRING GRADUATES!
Summer and Fall preregistration for continuing students began April 2 and is ongoing. Registration for new students begins May 1 (for both Summer and Fall). Appointments for new students (students whom have paid their deposits and will be enrolling this Fall) will be available starting Tuesday, April 17.
Information about course availability, dates, and times is available on the Schedule of Classes.
The last day to register internships, SRPs, or independent studies for Summer is Friday, June 1. Forms and registration information are available on our site (see the links on the right). Details about other registration dates and deadlines is available on the University's Academic Calendar.
Non-degree Summer registation began May 1. Non-degree Fall registration will begin August 13. These dates are the same for new and continuing non-degree students.
