U.S. Foreign Policy

Dr. Cohn returns to SIS after nine years as an Assistant Professor at Goucher College and director of the International and Intercultural Studies program there. She has also been a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She has published articles on the U.S. promotion of democracy and U.S. policy in Latin America. She also specializes in pedagogies of teaching and recently published a multi-disciplinary curriculum on Wal-Mart designed for college and university professors. She was the director of the Washington-based Central American Historical Institute in the 1980s and previously worked at Oxfam America. She teaches courses on U.S. foreign policy and international politics, and especially enjoys teaching her course, "Breakfast in the Americas: Bananas, Coffee, Sugar."
