Sponsor a Peacebuilder
Background
PDI undertakes every effort to make the Summer Institute as affordable as possible. However, although tuition has not been raised for three years, the fees can still be substantial. Participants pay $735 tuition per course, a minimum of $300 per week for housing, and often as much as $1,500 for airfare. These costs can constitute a major burden for many participants, especially those who come from countries in conflict or transition. Unfortunately, this means that a number of fully qualified applicants are unable to participate each year.
What We Are Asking
PDI is able to provide several need-based scholarships each year. However, these resources can only go so far. Thus, PDI is looking for individuals and organizations who are willing to contribute financially to a general scholarship fund. These funds will be allocated to create additional scholarships that will help reduce the financial burden for Summer Institute participants from countries that are experiencing conflict or undergoing transition. How to Contribute
There are two ways to contribute:
Check/Money Order: In the memo section of the check or money order, please specify that it is for the "Sponsor a Peacebuilder Fund." This will indicate to us that it is for the Summer Institute Sponsor a Peacebuilder Fund. PDI's address is:
