SIS offers a variety of career related resources for students and alumni. The AU Career Center, located on the 5th Floor of the Butler Pavilion, provides counseling, mock interviews, and programming throughout the semester to support students and alumni through their job and internship searches. The AU Office of Merit Awards has a proven track record of helping students prepare for scholarship, grant, and award competitions. Consult its Events Calendar for information on upcoming job fairs, employer site visits, and resume critiques. The AU Career Center library is a comfortable, quiet work area with computers, books, newspapers, and magazines all dedicated to helping you find the right job or internship.
The various listservs of the School feature regular job and internships postings for domestic and international positions. SIS networking and professional development events are typically posted to the main SIS listserv. Students and alumni are also encouraged to log into the American University Online Community, a great resource for networking that includes a permanent e-mail address and Web space and acts as an easy way to keep up-to-date with classmates.
